Tuesday

Another day has begun.I can't believe how fast these days are going by!Today when we went to move the steer and sheep fences there was a deer in the field.Typical of me I did not have my camera with...The back of the field is woods,and I often walk the dogs there.I took some photos last week,and one day I will get around to posting them.I have to use the computer(this is on the laptop)because all the photos are there,and to get use of that........!
There is a sort of saying down here that in Devon it rains 8 days out of 7.I have almost to believe it this month!It has just rained nearly every day for nearly 2 weeks!

The heavens declare Thy glory,Lord,
In every star Thy wisdom shines;
But when our eyes behold Thy word,
We read Thy name in fairer lines.
                                Isaac Watts.
I love this poem,it is so true that everything in nature shows the hand of God.I just cannot see how with the world around us daily testifying of a mighty Creator,man can say there is no God and everything happened by random chance.Its just not possible!
I must end now...

Another Post

I have some more time now...Here is a picture from a walk I went on with my Mom yesterday.I hope the lovely red poppies come out in this photo,that was the whole reason I took it.
This is a wheat field along the side of the footpath,the wheat is about waist high now,but still very green.The slight red bits are actually loads of poppies,the photo hasn't come out as clear as I hoped it would.Sights like this one really turn my heart to God,the Creator of all these beautiful things we see around us.
Here is another poem:

Fountain of good,all blessing flows
From Thee;no want Thy fullness knows;
What but Thyself canst Thou desire?
Yet,self-sufficient as Thou art,
Thou dost desire my worthless heart;
This,only this,dost Thou require.
                                Johann scheffler
"For thou desirest not sacrifice,else would I give it:thou delightest not in burnt offering.The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit:a broken and a contrite heart,O God,thou wilt not despise.
Psalm 51v16-17

Good Morning

In the end I actually had internet for quite a while longer...
Good morning to you all.Below is posted an article that I had for research in school.My textbooks are "politicly correct" so they tell me that global warming is a proven fact.....Thought I would do some research of my own to see if that is really true and here is what I found.I might find more to post later...I want this website to be an encouragement to those who are creationists etc and christians,it can be confusing in the world today,but I would encourage you to use Creation Ministries and such resources to know clearly where you stand.I will leave you all to digest this while I go back to my research...

Ten facts about global warming

THEY don’t want you to know

Britain is one degree Celsius cooler now than it was at the time of the Domesday book.
Greenland got its name from the verdant pastures that attracted the Norse settlers under Eric the Red in 986. They carried on their normal way of life (based on cattle, grain, hay and herring) for 300 years until the Little Ice Age, when they were driven off by the encroaching ice and the Inuit took over. The ice and the Inuit are still there.
Carbon dioxide is a minor greenhouse gas. In the atmosphere there is over a hundred times the concentration of water vapour, which is the dominant greenhouse gas.
Without the Greenhouse Effect there would be no life on Earth.
Temperature measurements by satellite, radio sonde balloons and well maintained rural surface stations in the West show no significant warming.
The evidence of significant warming comes from surface stations that are affected by a variety of factors that contaminate the data.
Computer models of the climate are worthless, as they are based on many assumptions about interactions between climate factors that are still unknown to science. They are generally unstable and chaotic, giving a wide variety of answers depending on the input assumptions.
The Kyoto agreement would have a devastating effect on the world economy but, since carbon dioxide is a minor greenhouse gas, an undetectable effect on the climate.
The IPCC (the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) has been the main engine for promoting the global warming scare. It has become notorious for its corrupt practices of doctoring its reports and executive summaries, after they have been approved by the participating scientists, to conform to its political objectives
The really big lie about man-made global warming is that almost all scientists accept it. More than 4,000 scientists from 106 countries, including 72 Nobel prize winners, signed the Heidelberg Appeal (1992), calling for a rational scientific approach to environmental problems. Many senior scientists have also supported The Statement by Atmospheric Scientists on Greenhouse Warming (1992), The Leipzig Declaration (1997) and finally the Oregon Petition (1998) which received the signatures of over 19,000 scientists.

Sunday

Hello again and a blessed Sunday to all who may chance to find this.....

Here is a poem that I really enjoy:
O God of Bethel,by whose hand
Thy people still are fed;
Who through this weary pilgrimage
Hast all our fathers led!
Our vows,our prayers we now present
Before Thy throne of grace:
God of our fathers!be the God
Of their succeeding race.
                             Philip Doddridge
We don't have a church family with which to fellowship,so we listen to a sermon at home.Today we listened to one from Charity Gospel Tape Ministries (charityministries.org) by Paul Lloyd entitled  "Created for Worship"I was inspired to search out my own heart to see that there are no idols hidden there.Below are a few of the strongest points:
Worship is something we do all the time,not just at church on a Sunday morning.
We were created by God to be worshippers
Everyone,even the atheist is worshipping something
The word worship in the Old Testament can also be translated bow down.

Would like to type more but our landlord looks like he is on his way to turn the internet connection off.....

Some Photos

I'm back,and here are the afore promised pictures!This one is of me and my dogs.The lab is Humphrey and the terrier Spotty.This was taken last month and we thought it was really cute!(took a while to get them still enough for a photo!)

here are my ducks.Not much to say about them!!Though actually last week my dogs attacked them(they had escaped)and Spotty got one in his mouth.Thankfully that duck is now well.

and here is my dad and brother doing something to one of our sheep.The sheep is called Favour,and has twin lambs,I hope to post some pictures of more animals soon,but I just grabbed a minute now to do this....
So..that is a representative of us,more to follow next week,I hope.
Blessings,
Jayne

My first Post...........

Well,can't say how often I will be posting,I will try to say something every day,but....life is usually fairly hectic around here!
I am a 16 yr old girl,living in Devon,England on what we call a smallholding,a small farm.That features hugely in my life,so I'm guessing it will here too.I am also studying for end of school exams,which takes a lot of time.
I have one 15 yr old brother.
And now for the animals.....We have 20 chickens,10 sheep,4 goats,4 ducks,3 angora rabbits,a cow,and 2 dogs.Hope to post pictures of this bunch later or on Monday.
We live in a converted barn,so our house is fairly large(at least for England!!),the downside is that all the old beams produce a lot of dust....so cleaning often is a must.
Hope you will stop by again soon,I want to post inspiring quotes,hymns etc as well,so keep tuned.
Blessings
